Sweet Briar College soccer and Amherst County Parks and Recreation have partnered to offer a summer soccer camp for area youth.
The 2005 Vixen Soccer Camp will be held at Sweet Briar College August 8-12. Participants will be divided based on age. Session one, for athletes 5 to 10 years old, will run 9 a.m. to noon. Session two, for athletes 11 to 17 years old, will run 5 to 8 p.m.
Cost to attend the 2005 Vixen Soccer Camp is $100. Fees include instruction, a Vixen skill ball, camp T-shirt, and daily prizes. Registration forms are available at Amherst County Parks and Recreation, 214 Second St. or at the Sweet Briar College soccer office, located in the Daisy Williams Gymnasium.
Instructors for this year's camp include Sweet Briar head soccer coach Paul Shaw, Sweet Briar assistant soccer coach Brad Hamilton, and college players. Shaw and Hamilton are both U.S. Soccer licensed coaches.
