Sweet Briar Freshman Named to ODAC All-Conference Soccer Team
Sweet Briar freshman Kylie Izzi (Bainbridge Island, WA/Bainbridge) has received 2004 ODAC All-Conference honorable mention honors, voted on by the coaches. Izzi started at center back in 11 of Sweet Briar's 12 conference games. Her strong defensive play helped the Vixens reduce their team goals against mark by 25 goals this season. Her only goal of the season, and first career goal, prevented the shutout in Sweet Briar's 3-1 loss to nationally ranked Washington and Lee University. ?There were not a lot of first-year players recognized by our conference coaches this year. It says a lot that Kylie was one of the few chosen,? said head coach Paul Shaw.
