The Sweet Briar College volleyball team lost in straight sets (16-30,13-30,12-30) Tuesday to cross-town foe Lynchburg College. The match was the last home match of the season for the Vixens and senior Dana Ripperton's (Chapel Hill, NC/Chapel Hill) last match in Daisy Williams Gymnasium. Freshman setter Jade Bomar (Amherst, VA/Amherst County) had 11 assists for Sweet Briar. Nicole Traylor ?07(Charlotte, NC/King William, VA) and Laurel Watts '08 (Keysville, VA/Randolph-Henry) both came up with nine digs in the match. The Vixens travel to Meredith College for the Women's College Tournament Friday and Saturday.
