Sweet Briar soccer held Lynchburg College scoreless for 57 minutes Tuesday but lost 4-0 to wrap up their season. Freshman goalkeeper Abby Brown (Copper Canyon, TX/Marcus) was knocked out of the game just into the second half due to a face laceration, with the score tied at zero. She had six saves in 48 minutes of play. Claire Bryan (Chesapeake, VA/Norfolk Academy) took over and picked up six saves in her first game in goal since mid September. Head coach Paul Shaw commented, ?It's a tough way to end a growing season but we are looking forward to next year.? Sweet Briar compiled a 3-13 record for the season, including three shutouts and the most ODAC victories since 1998.
