The Sweet Briar College volleyball team lost both of its matches Saturday in a Families' Weekend tri-match with Randolph-Macon and Virginia Wesleyan. The Vixens lost their first match 6-30, 11-30, 18-30 to Randolph- Macon College. Jade Bomar '08 (Amherst, VA/Amherst County) had nine assists and five digs on the match. Nicole Traylor '06 (Charlotte, NC/King William, VA) and Dana Ripperton '05 (Chapel Hill, NC/Chapel Hill) each had four kills. In their second match of the day, Sweet Briar lost 13-30, 19-30, 14- 30 to Virginia Wesleyan College. The Vixens came up with several big digs in the game, including 11 digs from Ripperton and eight from Traylor. Sweet Briar is back on the road Wednesday for a conference match at Washington and Lee.
