Sweet Briar Drops Hollins University in Women's Soccer
The Sweet Briar College soccer team picked up their first ODAC victory of the season shutting out Hollins University 2-0 Tuesday. Senior forward Ashley Forehand (Prince George, VA/Prince George) scored 10 minutes into the game on a pass from freshman Erin Coyne (Rockville,VA/Patrick Henry).  Whitney Shaffer '08 (Norfolk, VA/Maury) netted the ball in the upper corner for an an unassisted goal before the end of the first half. The Vixens out shot Hollins 24-10 for the game.  Hollins goalkeeper Leah Jackman had nine saves.  With the loss, Hollins falls to 1-5 on the season. Sweet Briar is home again Saturday against Bridgewater College.  They face the Eagles at 10 a.m.
