Sweet Briar volleyball lost its home opener Tuesday against non-conference Mary Baldwin 10-30, 19-30, 19-30. Lynnsey Krause '07 (Houston, TX/Clements) had nine of the Vixens' 17 kills in the match.  Four different players had service aces for Sweet Briar. "We need to continue striving to improve," said coach Beth Huus after the match. "We are going to continue to focus on consistency and placements of our attacks as well as picking up more balls defensively." Sweet Briar is at Guilford College Saturday for an ODAC tri-match against Guilford and Randolph-Macon Woman's College.
