The Vixens of Sweet Briar College beat Mary Baldwin College 3-1 Sunday in the team's second game of the Virginia Women's College Field Hockey Tournament.

Sweet Briar led at the half 1-0 on Julie Drake's (San Jose, CA/Willow Tripp, Susanna Knouse (Washington, DC/Fort Worth CDS), Bethany Bressan (Charlottesville, VA/STAB), and Ellie Donahue (Richmond, VA/Trinity Episcopal) were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Head coach Jennifer Crispen said, ""It's a good start to the season.   We had consistent play out of the strong players.   Most significant was breakthrough offense by Rhandi Kline (Hampton, VA/Hampton) and solid defense by Alex DiFeliceantonio (Wilmington, NC/Amy Bradley).   As the less experienced players improve, we will see total team improvement." The Vixens do not play again until Sept. 15 at home against Bridgewater College.
