Sweet Briar College Loses to Averett University in Volleyball
The Vixens of Sweet Briar College lost to host Averett University in three games (6-30, 7-30, 15-30) Wednesday in an out of conference match.

Vixen coach Beth Huus said, ""They definitely improved as the game went on, which was our goal.""

Lynnsey Kraus (Houston, TX/Clements) led the team with three kills and two solo blocks.   Dana Ripperton (Chapel Hill, NC/Chapel Hill) had one block assist.

Sweet Briar is 0-1 overall and plays at Southern Virginia Thursday Sept. 9.   They open ODAC play Saturday Sept. 18 against Bridgewater at Roanoke College.
