Jennifer Crispen, head field hockey coach at Sweet Briar College, has been selected as a member of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame - Class of 2004.
According to the NFHCA website, selection into the Hall of Fame acknowledges coaches who have made outstanding contributions to field hockey. Coaches are nominated based on coaching performance, championship participation, service in the sport and player honors.
Crispen began coaching at Sweet Briar in 1977. In 2002 she coached her 500 th collegiate game (264-215-21) and posted her 270th win. She has more than 30 years of collegiate experience and has been involved with U.S. Elite and Olympic Development programs.
Prior to coaching at Sweet Briar, Crispen coached at Skidmore and Mount Holyoke. She is currently a member of the NCAA Division III National Field Hockey Committee and is the NCAA Collegiate Rules Liaison.
Crispen will be recognized at the 2005 NFHCA Awards Luncheon in January.
