Warm weather boosted the Vixens of Sweet Briar College to a 6-3 win in women's collegiate tennis over ODAC rival Eastern Mennonite University today. SBC came out of doubles up 2-1, on the strength of wins at #1 and #3. Juniors Julia Geyer (Dallas, TX/Highland Park HS) and Brentz Basten (Lynchburg, VA/Jefferson Forest HS) defeated the Royals Steph Good and Angela Boese 8-4. In the three slot, senior Lauren Byrne (Westtown, NY/Minisink HS) and junior Sue Knouse (Washington, DC/Fort Worth CDS) dropped Horst and Kniss by the same score.

Basten continued her domination in singles, topping Good 6-3, 7-5 at #1 singles. The Vixens also took two, three and four without losing a set.

Sweet Briar is 3-6, 2-2 in the ODAC in the ODAC.   They are at Randolph-Macon on Friday at 4 pm.
