Development VP takes new position

Heidi Hansen McCrory

Heidi Hansen McCrory, vice president for alumnae and development, will leave the College on June 2, following Reunion, to accept a new job as vice president of college relations at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.

McCrory joined Sweet Briar in 2000 as associate vice president for development, advancing to her current position in 2009. Her leadership was instrumental in the successful completion of the College’s “Our Campaign For Her World” capital campaign in 2006, which exceeded its goal of $111 million.

“Heidi has brought endless enthusiasm and optimism to this job every single day,” President Parker said.

“While we will miss her at Sweet Briar, we know she will be successful as she tackles this new, exciting challenge.”

Missy Witherow, director of alumnae relations and annual giving, will step into an interim role to provide leadership for the office following McCrory’s departure.
