Two Sweet Briar Swimmers Receive ODAC Honors
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced their swimming All-ODAC team. After a third place conference finish, Sweet Briar was one of only three schools to qualify individuals on the first or second All-ODAC team.
For the third year in a row, Hannah Hesser (’10/Richmond, Va.) was named to second team All-ODAC. Hesser’s accomplishments include top 4 finishes in the 500-yard free, 100-yard butterfly, and 200-yard butterfly. She was a member of three Sweet Briar relay school records, the 200-yard free relay, 400-yard free relay, and the 800-yard free relay.
In only her first season, Charlotte Greenwood was also named second team All-ODAC. A freestyle specialist, Greenwood was a conference finalist in the 50-yard, 100-yard, and 200-yard freestyle. Like Hesser, she was also a member of the school’s three record-breaking relays.
Coach Kuhn believes each one earned their accomplishments. “I was very happy to see Hannah and Charlotte achieve All-ODAC performances. Not only do they work extremely hard and keep a positive attitude, they also are great friends.”
