For nearly two decades, Sweet Briar College’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference of Undergraduate Scholarship (MARCUS) has drawn students from across the region and out of state to the Central Virginia campus to present and share their research. The 2016 conference will take place on Saturday, Oct. 15.

At Founders’ Day Convocation on Sept. 23, 2016, Mary Pope M. Hutson ’83, vice president for alumnae relations and development, presented the Outstanding Alumna Award to two recipients: Debra Elkins ’93 and Sarah von Rosenberg ’72, co-chairs of the Alumnae Alliance Council.
