Paris Internship Lecture Series
Junior Year in France provides an unmatched internship experience through their Paris Lecture Series. Every spring students participating in our Internship Program attend lecture presentations on a variety of topics given by some of the most influential people in France.
Our 2011 Internship Lecture Series included:
Mme Harriet Welty Rochefort a professor in journalism at Sciences Po in Paris and author of "French Toast" and "French Fried". She spoke on Franco-American cultural differences.
Mr. Samuel Thomas Vice-Président from SOS Racisme a French association founded in1984. He spoke about their main goal which is to fight against racism, antisemitism and all forms of discrimination.
Mr. Louis Giscard D'Estaing invited our interns to a private guided tour and lecture with a Historian at the Assemblée. After the tour they were invited to a sit down luncheon. The lecture took place at the Assemblée Nationale.
Historian Richard Flahaut gave a lecture at the Hôtel Matignon, the official residence of the French Prime Minister.
