More than 180 students, staff, faculty and community members participated on Friday, September 28th, making great improvements to many areas on campus!  Thank you all for your enthusiasm and hard work!

 

POST OFFICE UPDATE:  We seem to have had some technical difficulty with the paint in the Post Office.  Our Physical Plant staff are working diligently to ensure the issues are fixed and that much of the first coat will be a great foundation for a second coat!

 

2012 PROJECT ASSIGNMENT LIST

 

Revitalizing SBC's tradition of "Patchwork Days," the "Sweet Day of Service" was inaugurated in April 2011 to update our surroundings and build our SBC community.

 

Our 2012 Sweet Day of Service will be held on Friday, September 28, from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.  We'll complete our workday morning by 12:30 p.m., finishing with a community lunch. The rest of the afternoon will be tradiitonal Founders' Day events.

Highlights from our 2011 Sweet Day of Service:

Despite a blustery April day, our 2011 Sweet Day of Service was a success. More than 200 students, faculty and staff

  • Painted the first floor of Guion
  • Landscaped around Panell and Development/MMC buildings
  • Reblazed campus trails
  • Cleaned Prothro windows
  • Painted areas in the FAC/Williams Gym
  • Spruced up the Pink Bikes
  • Painted the first floor of Fletcher
  

  


Not only did we accomplish all of that (and more), we strengthened and made new friendships, provided an opportunity for team building and leadership, and just plain had fun!
