General Information

Program Registration

Girl Scout Troops are asked to register by the dates listed. All program participants must be pre-registered. Programs will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Sweet Briar must receive program fees within five working days from the date the reservation is made to permanently hold the program space. If payment is not received within the time frame, the program space will be released. Requests for a refund should be made in writing and received no later than two weeks before the scheduled program date. After this date, we will be unable to refund your program fee.

Program Day

We ask that you arrive at the program destination at least 15 minutes prior to the start date. Please note that all programs will start at the scheduled time, and cannot be delayed for late arrivals.

Program Participation

Programs are designed for specific age groups, and space is limited. Therefore, we cannot accommodate younger or older siblings who may want to attend. All program participants must be pre-registered.

Parking

Parking areas are marked on our campus map and you may park in any of the designated areas on Saturdays. Our staff will be happy to assist you in determining which parking area is closest to the program you will be attending.

Dining at Sweet Briar

• Prothro Dining Hall
  

  Girl Scout troops are welcome to eat their lunch or dinner in the Prothro Dining Hall in the Student Commons when attending programs on campus. Meal rates are as follows:

  Lunch (11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
  Girl Scouts (11 and under) - $3.00
  Adults - $6.00

  Dinner (5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
  Girl Scouts (11 and under) - $3.50
  Adults - $7.00

• Le Bistro
  

  Le Bistro is located off the traffic circle beside the Inn and Conference Center, and offers light fare, beverages and groceries such as chips and soda.

• The Book Shop Café
  

  The Book Shop Café is located adjacent to Prothro Dining Room in the Student Commons. The Café offers light fare, beverages and snacks.

Program Evaluation

Sweet Briar faculty, staff and students who have volunteered their time provide all programs. We think that you will enjoy visiting our campus, and learning new skills in our many interesting programs.
