Engineering Co-op Program
We believe that experience in industry or a research lab is a critical part of an undergraduate engineering education. All Sweet Briar engineering students must complete an engineering co-op.
Sweet Briar engineering students have worked in a variety of industries doing a variety of types of engineering. These experiences are often beneficial in securing employment after graduation.
Student fulfill the co-op requirment through the course ENGR 378, generally during the summer. Engineering faculty and Career Services can help students find appropriate opportunities.
Our students have worked at, for example:
|AREVA||The Babcock & Wilcox Company|
|The Clorox Company||Flowserve|
|Naval Surface Warfare Center||Duke University- Environmental Engineering REU|
