Photography I

Prerequisite: 35mm camera required; studio art majors have priority. A practical study of the materials and techniques of artistic expression through the black and white photographic film process, including camera controls, film processing, darkroom printing, print finishing, and safe use of photographic chemistry. Critiques and study of contemporary and historically important photographers will offer the student an opportunity to explore many different types of photographic aesthetic.
