Ticket Appeals

Procedure for Fines and Appeals:

  • Fines: All fines are to be paid at the Department of Safety .  Fines will be placed on your accounts receivable bill, unless other arrangements are made.

  • Appeals:  The following are generally not considered acceptable arguments when appealing traffic citations: inability to pay for fines assessed, using flashers in prohibited areas.  All persons receiving a violation notice have a right to appeal within five (5) days of the violation.  You may complete an appeal on line at: Ticket-Appeals.  BY FAILING TO FILE YOUR APPEAL WITHIN FIVE (5) DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THE VIOLATION YOU HAVE WAIVED YOUR RIGHT TO APPEAL.   You will be notified by e-mail of the decision on your appeal.
