Fourth Annual Friends of Athletics Golf Tournament

With a score of 17 under par, the team of Kevin Belcher, Keith Campbell, Tony Campbell, and Scott Christian won the Fourth Annual Friends of Athletics Golf Tournament, held May 2 at the Poplar Grove Golf Club. Team C.L. Lewis came in a close second at 13 under.

2008 Friends of Athletics Golf Tournament Winners

A total of 20 teams entered this year’s tournament which featured hole-in-one contests for a 2008 Nissan Altima sponsored by Mabry Automotive and a semester of free tuition at Sweet Briar.

Curt PasField won the closest to the pin contest on hole # 13. Earl Weaver had the longest drive on the men’s side on hole #8, while Michele Meadows stroked the longest drive for the women.
