What Is Alumnae College
Sweet Briar College has had a 100-year legacy of inspiring
intellectual fervor in young women. And of course, since
its beginning, the College has sought to engender an enduring
relationship with its extended family of alumnae, parents,
and friends. How fitting, therefore, that in the College's
Centennial Year of 2001, the Sweet Briar Alumnae Association
launched its specially designed Alumnae College program
to renew in you the sheer pleasure of intellectual pursuit.
"Alumnae College is the penultimate vacation. Everything
is provided: luxurious accommodations only a few steps away
from your classes, gourmet dining, study materials, convenient
transportation to off-campus activities, and time to relax,
reflect, and unwind. Decisions of the day's schedule, meals,
and logistics are all thoughtfully made in your behalf.
