About Us
The Sweet Briar College Alumnae Association under the leadership of its own elected Alumnae Board, and with the support of the Alumnae Office, develops, organizes, and implements programs, which encourage volunteer service in support of Sweet Briar College. Where are we?The Alumnae Association offices are in the Boxwood Alumnae House. After arriving on campus, follow the main drive through Checkpoint Charlie and through the traffic circle. Go past the Dorothy J. Sales Building (formerly the Book Shop) and Public Relations on your right. The Boxwood Alumnae House is at the corner of the main drive and Elijah Road.  The Boxwood Alumnae House was built on Elijah Road in 1920 as an Inn for guests on campus. Converted into a small dormitory in the nineteen sixties in response to increased enrollment at the College, it was later renovated through the kind generosity of an anonymous alumna to be the headquarters of the Alumnae Association in 1993.
