What excited you about college? The opportunity to try so many of the things I've always dreamed about doing, before ultimately deciding what I want to do as a profession.

You should know... I'm introverted but very passionate about my interests.

Why I chose Sweet Briar: One of the greatest decisions I ever made in my short life was to transfer to Sweet Briar College. Coming from a co-educational background, I welcomed the opportunity to study in a single-sex institution. It meant that I would be thrust toward leadership opportunities and encouraged to pursue my academic interests, no matter how varied they appeared. I studied theatre, was a Resident Advisor, phonathon caller, box office assistant, and participated in the Leadership Certificate Program. As the daughter of a U.S. Army soldier, I didn't have the opportunity to live in the same small, closely-knit community during my childhood. Sweet Briar fulfilled that desire of mine, and so much more.

Favorite place on campus: I love the field behind the caboose. It's close enough to main campus to walk to, but far enough away to feel like you have wide and open space to breathe and relax.

Advice to students: Be honest with yourself. It's very important when making a decision about where you plan to live for the next four years of your life. What is it that you want and how can Sweet Briar help you achieve your goals? It's not the only thing to consider, but it is certainly an important thing to keep in mind.
