About Me: I was lucky enough to begin my job in Admission one month after graduating (June of 2010) and have been here ever since. I always knew I wanted to recruit for Sweet Briar and I have been blessed with the opportunity to do so. I was a business major at Sweet Briar and a varsity swimmer all four years. Jason, the head swim coach, even allowed me to volunteer my time as an assistant coach for the last three years-- and it felt great to give back to a program that shaped my college career so much. I enjoyed the business program here, especially it's focus on entrepreneurship. As someone who dreams of one day being a small business owner, the information was valuable and applicable, and I use things I learned from my degree each and every day. As a Lynchburg native, I love the traveling part of my job and getting all kinds of places I've never had the chance to see. Although I love my entire territory, some of my favorites have been New Orleans, Little Rock, Mobile, and Indianapolis.

Why I Love Sweet Briar:
Where do begin? I love everything about this place. The professors are helpful (they even let me call them during their summer and two years after I graduated to help me with homework for grad school), the athletic opportunities are priceless, the campus is breath taking, and the community is supportive. The people who became a part of my life while I was a student here have shaped me into the woman I am today and I’m so thankful for their guidance.

Advice to Students:
Visit campus! Stay the night! You can’t truly get a feel for what Sweet Briar is all about until you spend some quality time on campus, interacting with faculty and students, and imagining yourself here. There are so many things about Sweet Briar that set it apart from any other college around, but until you’re here for yourself, it’s hard to articulate. Sitting in our library, walking across the Dell, taking in the view of the mountains – it’s something you have to experience to really appreciate and value.
