Lydia Gullicksen ’18

Lydia GullicksenLydia is a double major in business and English and creative writing. This will be her second year working at the ARC, and she is so excited to be back! One of her favorite things to do at the ARC is to workshop fictional stories. Around campus, Lydia runs cross-country and represents the team on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. She’s the ICC vice president, secretary of Sweet Dancers, Sweet Briar’s ballroom dance club, and a member of Falls on Nose.


Jessie Meager ’18

Jessie MeagerA double major in archaeology and art history, Jessie Meager is also part of the Honors Program. Her tutoring skills include help with writing and editing English, history and humanities papers. Jessie also works as a senior library assistant.


Emma Thom ’18

Emma ThomAn English and creative writing major from Lynchburg, Va., Emma Thom loves to travel and spent her first year of college in Paris, France, followed by a summer abroad at the University of Oxford with the Virginia Program at Oxford. Emma is involved in theater and was a member of the tennis team and IHSA team during her junior year. She was also a member of the Red Clay literary magazine and spends a lot of her time writing and editing papers.


Maya White ’19

Maya WhiteFarmville, Va., native Maya White double-majors in government and history. When she isn’t in class or at the ARC, she can usually be found curled up indoors with a book, watching period dramas or debating policy with her fellow government majors. Maya is passionate about British history, the Oxford comma and her work with Students For Life. She’s a member of the College Republicans, the Academic Affairs Committee and serves as a history program tutor.
