Shelby Benny ’19

Shelby BennyShelby Benny is a sophomore history major from Dothan, Ala. She loves helping out with research papers and historical abstracts. In her free time, Shelby enjoys riding her horse, Max, and serving on the Honors Program Student Council and the Judicial Committee. Shelby also works as office manager for the Sweet Briar Outdoor Program and enjoys going kayaking, canoeing and rock climbing with the program.


Lydia Gullicksen ’18

Lydia GullicksenLydia Gullicksen is a junior from Nantucket, Mass., with double majors in English/creative writing and business. She likes writing, workshopping creative pieces, reading Shakespeare and creating marketing videos. She serves as executive director of the business department’s Office of Media Relations, is a member of the cross-country team, the cross-country representative for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the secretary of Sweet Dancers, Sweet Briar’s ballroom dance club.


Kiley Jolicoeur ’17

Kiley JolicoeurKiley Jolicoeur is a senior majoring in philosophy and classics with a minor in English/creative writing. When she’s not in the classroom or working at the ARC, you’ll likely see her playing lacrosse or field hockey, or taking pictures around campus.


Maddy Lee ’17

Maddy LeeMaddy Lee is a senior engineering major from Leonardtown, Md. In addition to her job at the ARC, Maddy also works as a tutor for the mathematical sciences department. She is involved on campus in the SGA, the Founders’ Day Committee, the Relay for Life Committee, the Riding Council and the IHSA team.


Jessie Meager ’18

Jessie MeagerJessie Meager is a junior with majors in archaeology and history of art and a minor in medieval and Renaissance studies. Jessie is happy to help with most papers and research, though her specialties are history, English and the humanities. You can also find her working behind the front desk of the library, or writing articles for the Sweet Briar Chronicle, Sweet Briar’s student-run newspaper. Jessie loves reading and writing.


Olivia Myers ’17

Olivia MyersOlivia Myers is a senior studying psychology and history. She also works as a circulation desk assistant in the library and as an Intro to Psychology tutor. After graduation, she plans on pursuing a master’s degree in library science so she can continue to spend the majority of her time in a library. Olivia’s favorite activities include reading, hiking, drinking tea and watching BBC adaptations of Jane Austen novels.


Julia Rhinehart ’18

Julia RhinehartJulia Rhinehart is a junior biochemistry and molecular biology major with a minor in chemistry. She loves talking about her favorite Guion professors and helping her Sweet Briar sisters in any way she can, especially if it involves science. She loves animals and plans to attend veterinary school after graduation. Note-taking, time management and study strategies are her favorite tutoring topics. She also enjoys assisting with the unusual task of writing a lab report or abstract. Despite her distinct bias for the sciences, Julia welcomes any student who wants to improve her academics.


Ginny Williams ’17

Ginny WilliamsGinny Williams is a senior majoring in anthropology with a minor in history. Her main academic focus is storytelling in Appalachia and how it functions in a historical and cultural context. In addition to her job in the ARC, Ginny also works at the circulation desk in the library. She is a member of Sweet Spirits and Sweet PEAs and enjoys reading and horseback riding. While she’s available to answer any writing questions, she has the most experience writing in the social sciences and humanities.
